Shalya Tantra is the branch which deals with the diseases or disorders which require surgical treatment. Acharya Sushrut has written ‘Sushrut Samhita’ forms the main base of Surgical knowledge which is beneficial and practicable till today.

• ✅ The college has a fully-fledged department that carries out work related to surgical disorders, incorporating modern surgical knowledge.


• ✅ The department has various charts on the basic principles of surgical procedures, different surgeries, and models of surgical techniques, including ancient methods.


• ✅ Diagnosis and treatment of various surgical disorders are carried out with all modern facilities.


• ✅ Facilities are available for all general surgeries.


• ✅ Special Ano-rectal Clinic: The department provides highly successful treatment with a minimal recurrence rate for fistula-in-ano using the “Kshar-Sutra” method and ‘Kshar’ application for bleeding piles.


• ✅ Various para-surgical procedures such as bloodletting by leeches (Jaloka-Avacharan), venepuncture (Sira Vedha), scarification (Prakshana), and therapeutic burn therapy using thermal and strong alkali methods (Agnikarma and Kshar Karma) are also carried out for specific disorders.


• ✅ Kshar Sutra training programs and medico-surgical camps are arranged regularly.
